11-21-08 Please keep in prayer the family of Jim and Deb Hanna in the death of their granddaughter 4 month old Cambrea. Also lift up the parents Ashley and Marcus as they deal with this difficult situation.

11-21-08 My sister Jan called last evening and said her husband Chuck Hoover is beginning to fill with fluid again. When they limit his fluids he dehydrates, if they increase them he begins to swell. They have decided to limit fluids and up his medication to try to reduce the swelling. When he was in the hospital a couple of weeks ago they said there was a great deal of fluid around the heart. His heart won't be able to withstand the fluid if they aren't able to control it. And so his health issues continue to mount.

Jan is to have the cast of her wrist in three weeks and they will do another x-ray and put on another cast. The current x-ray showed that the wrist has not healed which is normal for her age group. So surgery is still a possibility.

We appreciate all of your prayers and ask that you please continue to lift up Jan and Chuck. Jan was very down last evening and is very worried about Chuck and frustrated by the limitations of the cast.

11-18-08 Please lift up the family of Donald Thompson, 54 years old, who passed away suddenly. His wife and 2 children are having a difficult time. Pray for the Lord to strengthen them with His peace that passes all understanding. May they sense his presence uplifting and upholding them as they grieve. 11-7-08 Jan Hoover went to the orthopedic surgeon regarding her broken wrist. She broke the two small bones from her thumb to the wrist. She was informed these bones are very difficult to heal/mend. She will have to wear the cast for 6 weeks and may need surgery if it they do not heal. Her grandson Ryan broke the same wrist in almost the same place a day after she broke hers. Please pray for the healing of her wrist so surgery will not be needed. Chuck was taken to the hospital again yesterday for congestive heart failure. He will be in the hospital over the weekend. Her funeral is Saturday, Nov. 8 at 10:30 A.M. at Lakemore UMC 1536 Flickinger Rd. Akron, OH

There will be visitation 1 hour before the funeral.

Pastor Mick and Pastor Bob are planning to take the church van to attend the funeral service on Saturday. For anyone who would like to ride up in a group, meet at the church and be ready to leave at 8:45 A.M.

11-4-08 Linda Johnson requested prayer for Erica and the entire 6^th grade class from West Branch Middle School. They leave tomorrow, Wednesday, Nov. 5 for Camp Fitch and will return home on Friday, Nov. 7. Pray for traveling mercies and safety during their stay. May the Lord bless this time of learning, bonding, and growing and maturing.

11-3-08 Please pray for Malinda Cooper. She is the 17 year old granddaughter of Rev. Harry Harvey of Wayland Community Church and his wife, Mary. She was hit by a pickup truck on Friday evening (the driver was drunk) and was lifeflighted to Akron Children's where she is in very serious condition. Don

11-3-08 Olive Mackey’s daughter, Martha Thullen, passed away. Olive was with her and said she had a peaceful death. Her body will be brought back to North Lima for services, so Olive is back at Copeland Oaks. Pray for the Lord’s loving arms to hold Olive tightly in His care at this difficult time, comforting her as she grieves.

11-3-08 Luella Grant is in the Alliance Hospital with pneumonia. Once she is released, she will most likely be taken to Crandall Medical Center for further recovery before she can return to assisted living. Pray for her healing, strength, and wisdom for the doctors in her treatment. In Him, Barb

11-2-08 Dear Prayer Warriors, My sister, Jan Hoover, went to a womens retreat this past week. She said it was a wonderful experience and she rededicated her life to the Lord. Praise God! But during the closing moments after they laid hands of the main speaker she tripped over a basket, fell and later found out she broken her wrist. When she arrived home she went to the hospital and was informed she had a bad break and may need surgery. Please lift her in prayer for healing, relief of pain. Also pray that she will continue to feel the love, peace and comfort she felt at the retreat. She has so many issues to deal with as Chuck's health continues to deteriorate. Thank you: In Him Marge

11-01-08 Please continue to pray for the girl who was on the prayer chain a couple of weeks ago and was in the accident. She has many broken bones and is home recovering. This accident may prevent her from continuing her job of professional horse back rider. 11-01-08 Continue to lift up my student Starr Leyman and her family. Starr's house trailer and its contents were completely destroyed by the fire. Many people have asked how they can help. Monetary donations or gifts cards to department stores, grocery stores or gas stations can be given to me or dropped off at Damascus Elementary. 11-01-08 PRAISE My brother Earl is doing better after the hernia surgery and vicodin reaction which caused a seizure. 10-30-08 Please lift up one of Chris Lydic’s students, Starr Leyman and her family. Her family’s trailer burned down last evening. The family is okay, but everything was lost, including two pets. Pray for God to give strength, courage, and comfort to the family at this difficult time. Pray for wisdom and direction for the Damascus Elementary staff and students as they reach out to help them in their time of need.

10-30-08 Dakota Murphy had his tonsils out Tuesday and is very dehydrated so the doctor admitted him to Alliance Hospital today. He will be in several days so they can get fluids and food in him. Pray for his mom, Linda, as she helps him and also helps her father, Galen Culler, who was taken to Alliance Hospital today with heart problems.

10-30-08 Olive Mackey spent the weekend in North Carolina with her daughter, Martha Thullen, who has cancer. She planned to return home to Copeland Oaks, but called yesterday to say her daughter’s cancer is worse and she will be staying there indefinitely. Pray for the Lord’s healing, strength, comfort, and peace as they lean on.

10-22-08 Please lift up survivors of an accident. They are going to be survive, but are pretty badly banged up. They have requested not to have names shared. Thanks, Chris
